The best white coffee in town and has been for decades. Also always friendly and nice there. Breakfast mega with Wickenburg baked goods.

By far the best shop in the Bermuda Triangle. A must for everyone who wants to experience a real Bochum restaurant!

Since studying at RUB, Café Konkret has been my favorite location in Bochum. Either you sit outside and watch the goings-on in the Bermuda Triangle or you relax inside. Food, drinks and service are also great.

Great service, breakfast you can put together yourself. Lots of vegetarian and a few vegan options. Gigantic selection.

Unfortunately, waited longer than anything else, plus a service staff member who had no idea about what was on offer and about the opportunities to take leftovers with you. In addition, the service had no overview of the drink order and made a mistake about which latte macchiato with syrup was and which was not. (One guest was allergic, which made it a problem) Food and drinks were fine.

Great downtown coffee where I and my dog ​​were well looked after. The small dishes offered were very tasty and inexpensive. Place attendants and waitress were very polite and convinced me to stop by here often.

Were there for breakfast. Great selection, super tasty and fairly large portions. You can put together your own breakfast, as far as you want, or you can already tell a ready suggestion. So everyone can eat what you like.

Way too pricey. The ambience is nice and if it doesnt bother you to pay a bit more chances are you will like it here. Also cool that it has seating outside that gets sun around noon.

Stayed here on Saturday night and got a nice table without reservation. Cozy cafe, which can also be called a bar in the evening. The service was friendly even though it was very busy. Our orders were placed promptly and correctly. Drink prices are absolutely in the frame. We hadn't eaten anything. drawback: The women's toilets can only be reached via a steep staircase in the basement. Definitely not for women with high heels - Not to mention women with walking difficulties. The toilets are also very narrow. Not for women with claustrophobia. Unfortunately I searched in vain for a disabled toilet.

Was recommended to me and is, while nothing unusual, nice and pleasant enough. Friendly was also mentioned but I was unlucky ... the waiter serving us was anything but ... I suppose "duzing" customers in a country where formal address is the default is meant to convey a chilled vibe but overdoing it surely has the opposite effect turning it into a clichee and a fake gesture which comes over as laboured and old-fashioned. I'm sure it can be done in a friendly and charming way - after all the point is to make your customers feel relaxed and at ease - unfortunately the waiter serving us lacked the appropriate skills. Borderline rude overfamiliarity, sarcastic responses to entirely reasonable questions and requests, bellowing, rolling eyes and sloppy service seem to me from the Basil Fawlty school of professional waitressing and customer service and unlikely an integral or obligatory part of the "duzing" policy? With regard to the latter, why not take occasionally a hint from your customer's response or how they address you? It's not an insurmountable challenge to turn down the sheer amount of "du" in communicating with your customer, only basic verbal skills required. Bashing customers with an onslaught till they squirm in their seats to hammer down a point seems to me a rather counterproductive approach if the aim is making them feel comfortable. Also, I quite like to be given a glass with a bottled drink, by no means an unreasonable request, and would appreciate the glass to arrive before the drink has gone flat and warm. Maybe a little bit of additional staff training would help. Last not least, the Bochum friend, a frequent customer who took me here, assured me my experience was not typical and usually the waiters were mostly friendly, courteous and professional. So I will come again.

The restaurant decoration itself was very cozy and warm. However, the other things made us not to try this cafe anymore. I ordered the kürbisupe, it looks fabulous but tastes terrible. The waiter was so rude and unprofessional. I was asking him for a recommendation on a small dish and he found it so intimate to touch my shoulder! Two times 😒 Very very rude. Would not try anymore!

The place to go if you need a large bowl of milk coffee.
